Stalactite is an interactable object available in Hitman. It can be found in the World of Tomorrow episodic mission.

There are loads of stalactites hanging from the ceiling inside the underground cave system beneath Villa Caruso, where the Ether field lab is located. Some of these can be shot down, preferably with a silenced pistol in order to not get caught. When you shoot a stalactite, it will break free and fall down, shattering into pieces as it hits the ground and of course kill any NPC standing below. You can use instinct to see which stalactites are interactable and it is mostly the larger ones.

Francesca De Santis can be assassinated with a stalactite. She will come down to the lab a few minutes after the DNA Specific Virus has been destroyed. A good option is to shoot down the stalactite hanging just above the first door she enters. It is the same building she walks ontop of before heading down the stairs to the cave lab's ground level.

The virus itself can also be destroyed by a stalactite. Simply shoot down the one hanging straight above the containment unit to make it penetrate the roof and crush the virus vial within the cabinet inside.

Trivia Edit

Stalactite within a cave in the Republic of Ireland measuring a length of more than 6.5 meters (20 feet).

  • The stalactite should not be confused with the stalagmite. While the stalactite is hanging from a cave's ceiling, the stalagmite is a similar rock formation which instead rises from the cave's floor.
